Overview of Trade & Production Databases
This page provides a comprehensive database system developed by Professor Mario Larch and his co-authors. It is specifically designed for empirical trade research and policy simulation. The system includes the following core datasets:
RTA-Daten: Systematically documents over 600 regional trade agreements since 1950, including their entry into force and subsequent expansions.
- ITPD-E (Release 2025): The International Trade and Production Database for Estimation, optimized for econometric and gravity model estimations.
- ITPD-S: The International Trade and Production Database for Simulation, structured for general equilibrium and trade policy simulations.
- GRANTPA: The Granular Trade and Production Activities (GRANTPA) database covers international and domestic trade flows for 3,124 products and 247 countries over the period 1995–2019 for a subset of 35 European economies.
