ITPD-E: International Trade and Production Database for Estimation, Release 2025
The database contains consistent data on international and domestic trade at the industry level covering agriculture, mining, energy, manufacturing, and services. The ITPD-E is constructed using reported administrative data and intentionally does not include information estimated by statistical techniques, which makes the ITPD-E well suited for estimation of economic models, such as the gravity model of trade.
New features in Release 2025
- Data for more recent years. Data for all sectors are extended to 2023.
- More observations. The overall number of observations in Release 2025 is 87.5 million observations (4 million more than the previous release).
- New methodology for mirroring trade data for Forestry, Fishing, Mining and Energy, and Manufacturing, which results in more observations.
- Improved treatment of anomalous data points. New algorithms for dealing with problematic observations in administrative data.
- New numbering of releases. Releases are identified by year of internal availability rather than release number.
